>Wall Street is waking up to the notion that Netscape is transforming itself into a search engine.<

The best sign for your observation can be found in the weekly chart. NSCP is in big accumulation since mid-April. Pre April average weekly volume was about 10 million shares. Since April average volume doubled and stayed at an average above 20 million shares. This kind of jump is not due to a few small guys you and I. Looks to me like institutions has been accumulating in the wake of NSCP's big transformation. Street certainly looks confident about the move.

Now, a couple of points about Netcenter. It is a button away from Netscape Navigator 4.0. If you press "Guide" button, it takes you to Netcenter. Netcenter looks certainly like Yahoo. As a Yahoo fan, I liked Netcenter a lot. Once they get more content, this one will be right at Yahoo's neck. I predict it to be the second most popular portal once the cotent is there. I am sure big media companies are aware of it too and one will take advantage of it. My assumption is Time-Warner, CBS, or maybe Fox (huh?).

Check Netcenter:

home.netscape.com

Good luck all.

benjamin, I am new to buying internet stock. I would like to now when is the next quarterly earning date for netscape. There is lot of volatility to internet stocks ( I had bought exodus communications few months back only to lose money) Is the earning report expected to be positive? Seems like internet stocks are more news-driven.
