John, You are right on the money except when you characterize the "get a life" posters as sit ting around making 20 or 30 posts trying to get magic numbers . Do you mean each poster is making 20-30 or as a group? I think you are underestimating these posters. This very morning I noticed the "Things That Annoy Me" thread was number one on the Hot Subjects list so I started reading. Try 100 to 200 posts to get numbers like, 400, 444, 500 and 555. Add another 50 or 60 posts on "FBNA the Perfect Company " thread to grab for numbers. Add another 40 or so posts on this thread and you can see that this a serious problem. ALL THE GOOD NUMBERS ARE GONE! It's obviously some sort of syndicate. Do you think that these so called "Get a Life"ers are doing this without monetary compensation. Think again. The MM's are doing this and making money! I've reported every single one of them to the SEC. I've never seen such a display of thread manipulation in my life. What about the small time investor and poster? You know the ones these people profess to be saving. How many good post numbers are the small time investors getting? The answer is: NADA, NONE, ZILCH, ZERO, A BIG FAT NOTHING. It's evident that rules are being broken. The "Terms of Use" states that it is a violation to post more then twenty times in a four hour period. SI must be in cahoots as they let this happen. The more SI posts, the greater the value of their franchise. SI HAS A MOTIVE FOR ALLOWING MEANINGLESS POSTs TO DROWN OUT SOLID DD. It you are brave enough to nominate one of these thread abusers, I'll be the first to second the nomination. Tom ps: 2467 - the 365th prime number is coming up. Let's get a small victory for the little guy.
