You're missing the point!

It is true that both the Bible and the Qur'an say explictly that God's words will never be changed.

So if we find a contradiction in the Bible, one of two things has occurred:

Either God lied to us when he said His words would not change (May God Preseve us)

Or The verse that contains the error was never God's words to begin with!

Which of the two seem more likely? It's obviously the second. To find an error means the verse with the error could not have come from God.
