I thought 166 was fine until a got a 233 and the word crawl was noticeably faster, I will get an AMD 300-350 soon as the boards settle down and see what happens, I gotta try speaking into word perfect and cutting and pasting to here. Generally I do not bother as I type fast enough and let the erros go out to be seen. the 64 M is also important for the reason you state. It allows the system to run through its calculations with no/less disc acess. The quite background I found to be critical. Bill
