Emile,

Well put! I couldn't have put it better myself! I tried before in one of my previous responses. Raymond failed to see the aspect of eternal or spiritual life verses our lives in the here an now. But Genesis 1:17 is a good example. Bravo! ... Steve

Emile,

You make the same mistake that Steve makes. And that is failing to consider the verses in Deuteronomy in context.

God says that a criteria for judging a false prophet from a true prophet is this:

But The Prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

In other words, if you read this verse in context, you'll notice that God says that verse 20 in Deuteronomy is criteria for all people for judging a True Prophet from A False One.

You and Steve content God was referring to a "Spiritual Death" instead of a "Physical Death."

This however would make God's entire point moot. It would make absolutely no sense for God to tell the people of that time that the only way to know a True Prophet from a False One is if they experience "Spiritual Death." Why? Because the people could not know if the supposed Prophet achieved Spiritual Death until after they died! And of course, it would be too late then to do anything about it.

So bottom Line is this: God's words in Deuteronomy (if you would only read them) outline a clear criteria for all people so that they might be able to discern a True Prophet from a False One. A "Spiritual Death" could not be known by the People and thus be an impossible interpretation to God's words. Look how all False Prophets of the past were killed (Joseph Smith, Koresh, etc.)

So the question still stands, Why was Muhammad (Pbuh) not killed if he were a false Prophet? Did God forget him? What happened??
