Tonyt<What else would (or could) Amazon sell besides books and CD's?>
Well maybe soon, Amzn might announce another acquisition or two, three, four etc, etc.
How about selling software on the Internet?

H,

EGGS is already doing that and they lose money as quickly as AMZN.

I thought of that, but look where sw distribution is headed. In the near future we'll be connecting via out cable boxes instead of 56k modems. Once there, microsoft will be able to both reduce distribution costs and increase margin by selling direct to consumers.

I guess AMZN can sell computers too, but I doubt that DELL or CPQ would use them over their own web distribution.

The one thing Amazon can sell, and sell it now, is advertising, yet I have not seen any indication that they will. Why are they not selling advertising?
