Rain? Rain? I remember that word from my childhood..... We're having a truly hot, miserable summer. No, I don't work full time...indeed, I do as little work as possible. I manage all our finances and investing, run the household, go to kids' baseball games, and write. Outside of being rather impressively bad at investing with enough accidental hits that Dan lets me continue, and being a really outstanding mom, IMHO, I'm not a very productive anything. I'm what happens when a society has its basic needs met and time to spare. I'm a lily of the field. But lest you think this post self-denigrating, let me hasten to add that I think the whole point of being an advanced species is that we have time for those things. Society needs people who are by nature artists, writers and musicians. "Art is what makes reality bearable." So don't shoot me yet. I see that Christine is bragging about getting the mold out of her shower. I was trying to think of something I did that was comparable, but unfortunately there is nothing. Does making that red, white, and blue salad with three layers count? It took forever.
