Hello thread.

It is just past midnight here on the East Coast.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY

Be careful with the fireworks. I heard those awful predictions for the future on the Learning Channel and we don't want them to come true for a very long time or actually never.

SONNY

Good morning Sonny and a Happy Fourth of July to you, and ALL.

About missing my vacation, it was just to visit a friend for the week-end and I can go again next week-end or when the fires get better. I have pretty much an open invitation for the visit. With I-95 closed, I would have had a hard time going.

About the earth going in flames one day, there is an excellent book about that by S. Warren Carey. He discusses the molten core as well as the fact that the earth is expanding. It is somewhat along the theory of "continental drift, but a new theory of why the continents are spreading. He is emeritus professor of geophysics at Stanford University. The book is about ten years old. I am not sure if he is still alive as he is in his eighty's. One of the things that he discusses in this book is his calculations of the earth exploding.

About the 2000 disasters, right now with all of this stuff going on with flooding and fires and volcano eruptions, I an not discounting anything. It is all very very scary, especially being in the middle of all of this.

Sonny, yes you are always good about keeping us informed about your buys. The trouble is that I seem to always be too chicken to follow. Pfizer needs to come out with a pill to make people less chicken. (gg)

Thank you for keeping me so updated on the fire situation. Here are some very good sites about them with satellite pictures that are updated everyday. They are satellite pictures of where the fires are and other information as well. You will need to click on the small picture of the ones that you are interested in and they will enlarge. There is a hand to show you where to click.

I heard that there was a big fire in Jacksonville on my side of town. I heard it from a guy in a store where I was shopping yesterday. He said that he had seen it. I however, have no more information about it yet.

I hope E is doing well, say hi to her and ask her to drop by the thread some time. I miss seeing her. You and E both have a lovely holiday week-end.

Happy holidays,
Margaret
