I only use a stop loss if I am day trading. I bought AMD as an investment and have averaged down to 18. I picked 30 as a takeover number because it was slightly less than double the current price which nobody could really argue with, even those that bought at a higher price.

I have no clue whether AMD will ever be acquired. It just seems like it can't make money on its own.
