I guess I didn't post my question properly.Knew that MM's can do anything they d-mn well want to on our glorious "regulated" exchanges.But was pretty sure the retail investor could not short on margin under 2.00 stock on VSE.As a matter of fact a lot of Brokerages will not allow even long margin buying on VSE as they have been stung too many times.I am long NTAH and looking for good things to happen shortly.But as I am new to the thread and read the obvious displeasure of American friends with what they perceive was Canadian shorting- asked the question.Remember, even if a Canadian House is shorting, they could be doing it for US customers.
