Sonki, there is no panic in semi land ... just analysts flip-flopping their opinions every two weeks.

I said a month ago to let Kurlack say his piece when MU reports and when INTC reports. Notice he said it might be time to selectively buy semis when MU reported and pulled the rabbit out of the hat with the TXN deal; last week he said that the doom&gloom in semi land was not over yet. Give me a break ... fundamentals changed in two weeks?

INTC should be trading range bound and resume growth when it rolls out the series of chips named after rivers ... Destchutes (version xx), Katmai, Merced. Celeron and Xeon are re-dos of the old Pentium architecture for the desktop market and these chips are bandaids for current revenues. Until the next generation of chips named after rivers comes out, INTC cannot launch into the enterprise market ... and that is where the big growth will be.

Greg, thanks for telling me that Deschutes was a river. The series of new chips named after rivers, there is a significance to the series names. As chips with names entrenched in Greek roots ala Pentium were designed for the desktop, each series was designed and strategized for different markets

Sonki-- Take care on semis the way some indicators are behaving I am not sure if we see 200 on SOX, anyway I would reiterate my level 228 and 337 on PSE. Watch out for composite also 1900 and 1892 levels. I would think we may tst 232-227 but will bounce form there but if you ask me to play this range I would not. The visibility is just not there, I am not very sure if market has not discounted a very slow growth.
