Michael, thanks for your input.

>>I think Japan, ex the banks, is dirt cheap.

I have not bought Japan - yet. Maybe time to take a small position.

>>As are Australia, Chile, The Philippines, Taiwan and South Africa. Thailand and Indonesia and Malaysia are going to offer the highest returns in the world when they turn, but you need to mainline Maalox with those.

I have been nibbling here. I am waiting for South Africa, and Indonesia funds to stabilize before I take a third position. Speaking of maalox..I bought a first third in Pakistan.<ggg>

>>I expect Europe to offer some good deals on the fixed income side, though I think their stock rally is past the midpoint of its rise.

I have been looking for a good fixed income fund for Europe. ML has one but not exactly.<ggg>

People are still going to use platinum, palladium, copper, titanium, etc., though the prices of these metals do not reflect that.

I own some metals and will continue to accumulate. I do not have a position in platinum or palladium at the moment, but have some offers (GTC) on a couple of plays.

Thanks again and have a good 4th.

Joan
