Highly respectable Economist Edward Yardeni increased the odds of a severe 99 recession from 60% to 70%. At the root of his concern is the looming milennium problem, which he foresees the ill-prepared computers causing widespread system breakdowns, such as electric power grids' failure, temporary curtailment in air traffic, governmnet unable to collect revenue, etc..etc. (see the rest story Barron's page 13)

In my recollection, Yardeni had not been wrong in past 10 years for predicting economical trend.

Humbly report, Albert, I do not subscribe to wallstreetcity.com. I merely have an ancient bookmark to access the charts.

I do subscribe to newsalert.com , which alerts me via e-mail of news regarding all tickers of my choice. An excellent service!

Off to the theater, time for the Importance of Being Earnest.

Cheers,

Svejk
