Scumb,
Re -- The question "who's chip is better" ultimately determines the answers to your questions.

Thats easy. NSM has better chips (performance of lower Mhz cyrix/NSM chips is greater than higher Mhz intel chips -- PR/MII rating).

I am very perplexed as to why then is Cyrix/NSM headed into the single digits.

Pure Speculation - NSM secret weapon.

This is what the PC on a chip will look like.

Over all it will be like a Sony Walkman. The screen will be a pair of LCD lenses that you put on, and the keyboard will be like a palmtop. the price should be around $400. This should appear next spring. The stock should then move to $40 on emotion so be ready to jump out.

The question "who's chip is better" ultimately determines the answers to your questions. Determining the value of any CPU company's future products is a tremendously complicated problem, bordering on chaos.
In light of this we might as well have some fun speculating, arguing, whining, etc.

Scumbria, that is worth repeating. Only the inexperienced investor is certain his stock will go up. Everyone else is confused. Dale
