Just why they would is a good question but as you know Cyrix has been getting hind teat when it comes to process technology. IBM saves the best for the Power PC and the like. They aren't exactly giving it away at bargain basement prices, either. So Cyrix can't get their speeds up and is always months behind to boot not to mention higher chip costs due to bigger dies used on larger micron processes. Can't believe I'm having to tell you this. Just ask yourself where Cyrixs speed grades would be if they had Intel process technology at hand.
