Raleigh,

Day two, NT installation.

Where did the little man go?, where did the little man go?, where did the little man go?.................

Plug 'n play, plug 'n play, plug 'n play........

Oh, that's right NT doesn't have plug 'n play. They also don't have the driver for my graphics board, which is already in my computer.

Actually, besides the slow process of having to reload everything, it hasn't been horrible. It's the little things like the fact that MS includes the IE browser with NT 4.0 which is about 2 versions behind; and some hardware drivers have to be downloaded from the MS web. I've downloaded GTE ISP and am using it instead of Prodigy (mainly because I accidently erased the mail part of the prodigy files). The GTE site is good, so far, for speed and reliability. Wasn't knocked off once Friday while Prodigy was knocking me off every 30 minutes or so.

Monday, I'm going to get PC anywhere, a Hayes flex modem, 64K of memory (giving me 128K), and maybe go ahead and install the multi-monitor video board now before I get Cybertrader on the system.

I'll keep you informed.

Brent
