Let me say this: Java == Slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to mention Craig mentioned games and well Java + Games = VERY SLOW!!!! (imagine Java Quake, you would get 1 fps on an 8 way Xeon 50000Mhz Box).

Parvin, although some of the items I mentioned could be performed by a RISC system, X86 provides compatibility and time-to-market. To sell well, a living room PCOAC will have to be capable of running existing games, Explorer, and more.
