Hi Mark, welcome to the TDFX thread.

You can see from my chart that the 200 day moving average first appeared on April 9th of this year. Feel free to review the SI archives and try to find a post from me that discusses the 200-day moving average before that date.

There are many opinions about Technical Analysis and I don't intend to fill up this thread with lots of TA philosophy. The indicators that I chart (MACD and 200/50 day MAs) are commonly used by people that "screen" stocks automatically. I am simply pointing out to the group that TDFX will show up on the "radar" of technicians that use these kinds of screens. The effect is similar to a positive or negative news article.

Mark,

I first mentioned the 200 dma before we traded 200 days, The web link I posted should have picked that up (so should of I) My PC list the ma at 200 from the first day of trading, my choice.

The 200 dma is a reference point, most TA type people tend to use various oscillators of a moving average, like Bolinger Bands.
