No, but our perceptions, or lack thereof may cause us to believe there is a contradiction.

Okay, I admit some "supposed contradictions" may just be because we do not understand them fully. But there are contradictions that we do understand fully and that there is no possible way on earth that they are not contradictory. If one verse says that David killed 7,000 soldiers and 40,000 horsemen, how can it not contradict with another verse that says David killed 70,000 soldiers and 40,000 footmen?

There's no possible way the verses don't contradict and it's not because of our lack of understanding. It's clear that the verses are saying different things. Either one is right, or both are wrong.

Do you believe that words inspired by god should have contradictions?

Absolutely not. Words inspired by God should never have contradictions or errors. If they did, how are we to know which are true and which are false?

We re only human, and inspired or not, we make mistakes. It is the nature of humanity.

Then how do you know what is true and what is not? If you can't trust the Bible on small things, how can you trust it on the big ones?

That is to say, if you can believe in the Bible still knowing it has contradictions, then you're taking a risk that some of your beliefs may be in error. After all, if some portions contain errors, we can't possibly know all portions that have errors.

Would you agree with this Mark?
