OT: re: "These lenders are creating a bubble" I think this kind of thing is exactly what Greenspan was talking about when he recently warned about lax lending standards. These practices leave no margin of safety. He sees a recession coming (one year? three years?), and he's trying to get lenders to lessen the eventual pain, by tightening now, before millions of homeowners (and investors and businesses) are in a deep hole. Preventive medicine is always the least painfull, most successfull, and the hardest to get the patient to do.
