I'll try an exchange and see if we can keep it civil.
1. It's unclear to any of us which institutions are losing money and how much. I know of 2 institutions which have been shorting this stock since the 30's, while maintaining a hedged position and simply keep adding to the position as the long term trend, they believe is clear and inevitable, though it meander for awhile (or in this case skyrocket), and they don't want to play as much of a timing game with options. Presumably, they'll unbox their hedge at some point.

2. More new investors may arise. However, it seems that there are actually quite few "investors" who are long and holding. Look at the daily volume, short interest, insider ownership. For the most part whoever is buying this stock -- as a retail investor, excluding the MM etc. who are monkeying around with it -- is selling it almost as quickly. Momo players and day traders won't keep it growing at this pace for much longer.
