Fifty now, but Gateway is planning to expand the number of "Country Stores" to as many as 400. A colossal mistake in the making for Gateway especially with the retail business in the toilet (Just ask CPQ/HWP/IBM). Guess DELL will have one less competitor to worry about. :o) And don't tell Gateway either, because they have opened 'Gateway Country' stores around the US (over 50 according to their website). And also now have a bunch of resellers as a result of the ALR acquisition. So I think we can count Gateway as being the IBM/Compaq/HP model, rather than the DELL model. Regards, Caisson
