I've read various articles relating to how Demand would surge if
China's growth projections come to fruition. Various people such
as Stephen Leeb had some wild projections, and was positive on
oil. Although I tend to believe that the world will remain very
dependent on oil-I believe that at some time third world consumption
will skyrocket, and drilling will pick up very quick in order to
meet demand. If you look at the long term price trend of crude-it
is very negative going back the last 20 years. I could possibly
imagine that opec would be willing to suffer some short term glut-in
order to provide the low prices to get third world countries economies
to grow.
