Holland have been hit by several injuries, and it is looking like their defense will have a tough time pulling itself together in time for Tuesday. Bogarde - well I already made my view known on him, but Overmars, Winter and Reiziger are players we are in dire need of. I heard that Cocu may take the back, but that would be absurd - far better to put him at midfield. Well, it should be interesting. Perhaps it's a little piece of gamesmanship by the Dutch side. Overmars looked pretty healthy to me yesterday. I hope Winter and Reiziger recuperate in time, though. It would be such a shame to have this game marred by injuries. Knowing the Dutch, though, they'll field an excellent defense in time for the game. It's not called Total Football for nothing. This team is nothing if not deep and abundantly talented. And Stam owes the side an electric performance - the kind we all know he is capable of. Jaap, Tuesday is your time to shine! Perhaps these injuries will be a blessing in disguise and serve to further unify the players as a team. Whatever happens, injury-decimated defense or no, the Dutch will come out on the attack. And I still believe they will win. This is Holland's year.
