The consumption in Asia is so much down that demand for US agriculture
product droped precipitiously....No room for price increase...unless
one lives in California :)

It is a good thing that you don't shop in Ralphs or Hughs markets, they are even higher priced .
.....Have you seen the price of cars as of late?

....My guess is that inflation is around two percent, based on the current price hike in concrete.

Technology was able to cut the costs of many things over the last few years, however I believe that there is nothing left except inflation.

You are not paying for food at Vong (sp) you are paying for the "privilege" (taxes) of living in California... :)
