The future; Satellites, Seismic & Deepwater...(yes Satellites).

Go to this link to read some interesting info from our Northern neighbors and scroll down to the subsection in bold letters, entitled:

OIL EXPLORATION FROM SPACE - interesting reading...

Ron; I agree entirely on the positive future for OMNI and EGEO. I bought OMNI on my initial entry into the oil sector. Lots of homework and a little luck on that pick, as I felt equally bullish on TCMS...( down 40% + & still holding - allthough I'll never ride one down 40% or near that ever again...). I really like the seismic sector and ultra-deepwater service presently. We have just now seen a little selloff weakness -profit taking in stalwarts like CXIPY, VTS & PGO - I bought EGEO @ $10 recently as a pure value - too good to pass up at that price as they are investing in expanding their deepwater capacity as well.I bought EGEO's parent company Seitel/SEI based on their extensive seismic data library, expansion into Canada and the unique twist of them taking ownership interest % of E&P projects that they do the seismic work for. SEI just announced a large find in Louisiana that will be accretive in the 4th Quarter as well. I like VSEIF and GGY on a dip here also. The equipment mfg. co's are riskier in my opinion as technology changes occur etc. - allthough OYOG, BTJ and IO look interesting.

It now appears to be a given that the deepwater drillers are the place to be. I like the service sector as well, if not better. In the ultra-deepwater service arena CXIPY & SCSWF are my 2 favorite stocks looking 2-3 -5 years downstream... SCSWF is a particular value presently as they just blew through recent earnings estimates and will probably see some upgrades and analyst revisions soon.Their acquisition of DIVE is accretive in Q4 as well. CXIPY just announced a large contract and their flexible pipe technology is like ''gold'' in light of the expansion into deepwater by the drillers and in the next 2 years we are seeing tremendous capacity coming online. - Thanks again to Big Dog, for his point toward CXIPY.
