You say God's word is not 100% accurate or assume God's not perfect! Always trying to make the bible not a 100% complete work of God!

Steve, here is where you make a common logical fallacy. The fallacy is known as "Double Bind." You assume something before you prove it.

That is to say you've assumed that the Bible IS God's words before we've even established that. You give no proof so you may believe it because (A) you were raised that way or (B) most Christians do. My case would be entirely different had we first proven that the Bible was God's words.

Since we never established that the entire Bible, cover to cover, is God's words, it is subject to analysis. So, by showing contradictions, additions to the Bible (John 5:7, Mark 16:9-20. etc.), I am trying to demonstrate that the entire Bible is not from God. Further proof of that can be seen by the fact that the Bible never refers to itself, it never names itself, it never talks about its contents, it never gives any proof that it was supposed to be compiled together. The 66 books that exist in today's Bible (or 72 if you're Catholic) were never meant to be together! And if you disagree with that, you must prove it.

The major difference between Islam and Christianity, I find concerns this word: "Faith." To a Christian, Faith is a pledge to believe something. To the Muslim, the word "Iman" is translated as "Faith" but it's not really accurate. The root word of "Iman" is "Enema" which means "to Confirm." So to a Muslim, their faith are those things they've checked on and made sure of.

When discussing Islam, I won't come here assuming the Qur'an is God's words as you have done with the Bible. I will set out to prove first that the book can be from no other than God Almighty.

Some books of the Bible make it clear that they are from God and God alone (the Book of Jonah for example). It begins my telling the reader point blank that what follows is God's words. Other books, on the other hand, make no claim as to their origin. The Book of Luke does not say that Luke was inspired by God. It says Luke was a witness to the events so he thought it would be good to write about it. He even addresses his book to Theophilus (Luke 1:3), as it was intended to be for him - not to be used by humanity.

Peace,
Ray
