Michael,
Nice hearing from you again. We are still faithful to Intel, and our faith is being tested as we pray for favorable earnings.

We must, however, also do our part buying Intel's products. A friend picked me up a government surplus PC - a 300 MHZ Compaq Presario. It's loaded with 512KB Pipeline Burst Cache, Sync DRAM Memory, 100MHZ Sync Graphics Memory, 2X AGP 3D Graphics, 32x Max CD-ROM drive, Digital Flat Panel port, and best of all a High Speed Internet Access 56K ITU V.90 Modem. A 100M ZIP drive is also installed, but they don't seem to brag about it on the front panel decal.

This new toy is super fast, but it still leaves you wishing for a 400 MHZ Pentium II.

MSFT is now my second largest holding, and still looks like being in a good buying range. Sell those Windows 98 and Pentium based PC's!

I was in Hawaii a couple of months ago; seems like many of the young people migrate to the mainland. Hawaii has not changed that much since I took my sailboat and sailed over there in 1982. Don Ho has gotten older and he brought his lovely 17 year daughter on stage to sing for us. (I think that he has a very understanding wife). It was a great show!

Good to hear from you again. Please continue to share with us your technical knowledge.
humble carl

Michael - Re: "I just looked at Amazon!!!"

Welcome back form the deep!

We have missed you!

As for Amazon, please add Lycos, Yahoo, AOL, Infoseek, Inktomi, Excite and "Charlie's Internet Tuna " stocks to watch! You will be amazed at what real "value investors" are paying for these dream machines.

Paul
