Also pretty encouraging results from this side of the continent!

Indeed went to 2 Electronics Boutiques in Vancouver:

- one had run out of FF7 three times already!!!!! and even run out once of Deathtrap Dungeon....
- the other had run out of FF7 the second day after receiving stock!

The owner of one store said the PC version was far superior to the PS one and sees it selling even to customers who have played it on the PS! I bet it will beat Lara's sales...who by the way is again on the cover of the major gaming magazine Computer Gaming World...

Considering this is happening in a country where people will chose a pair of hiking shoes over a computer game...the results in USA should be even much more impressive....

With such a start, Eidos's bottom line should bring nice surprises...

Bleeker-

Copied this from FGN online.........
>>Industry: Speculation is mounting in the British press
about the future of Psygnosis. Last week, national
newspapers and the trade press revealed that two
possible suitors in a buy-out could include fellow
Eurocentric superpowers Infogrames and Eidos.
Psygnosis is owned by Sony, but rumors of a sell-off
have been flying around for the past two years. One
report suggested that a bid of $200 million had been
placed, though this has not been confirmed. Sony
says it's listening to offers, but is not actively seeking
to sell the publisher.<<

More good sell-through news...

Babbage's/Software Etc. lists FF VII as their top selling PC game for the week of 6/29/98. Go see gamelord.com and look at the "Best Sellers" column on the left side.
