There is always the possibility this stock never corrects. Hal, I would say that possibility is almost nil. I believe without equivocation that eventually Amazon will trade a reasonable multiple, whether that be to sales or earnings. The nice thing about momentum stocks is that the focus stays on them until their financial performance meets the expectations built into the price. This is what the market does, and it's ruthlessly good at it. Right now nobody expects actual earnings, so AMZN is not focused on in the dept of financial performance. But eventually, you can be sure that the financials are going to have to grow quite a bit more than they have already achieved, in order to prevent this stock from not correcting.

I don't believe in shorting this stock because I could be very wrong. I was absolutely positive AMZN was going to go down after the split; instead, it more than doubled. There is always the possibility this stock never corrects. Therefore, I will play it somewhat safe and only buy puts with money I can afford to lose. I agree and disagree with you. a) I don't believe in shorting this stock because I could be very wrong. I agree. Never short a stock because of valuation...I was guilty of this crime, but I corrected it quickly! b) There is always the possibility this stock never corrects. Impossible. AMZN WILL correct.
