I think people (the street) want to think positive, not face deep problems, often enough. In Hollywood, test audiences go see, and like "Deep Impact" and "Armageddon" stories, as long as we survive in the ending given. Those endings are what get box office earnings. No test audience (a supposed random segment of America) wants to see most likeable characters in movies having to meet the end of the movie by dying or disaster, or similar 'unhappy' endings. Perhaps TAVA and other y2ks symbolize the unhappy ending to the street, and this might figure in some small way to the psychology?.jmhg
