Clint,

I noticed you are looking at IBD stocks again. For the Friday
feature IBD stocks try this site.

securitytrader.com

For day trading candidates try

securitytrader.com

Most of the one's on this list you are already have on your watch
list, but there may be a few you don't have.

Do you know anything about this company:

>>The market's obsession with short-term performance
>>can create exciting long-term investment
>>opportunities for risk-tolerant investors
>>that are willing to swim against the current... Briefing
>> contends that such an opportunity presented
>>itself last week in the nose-dive experienced by
Parametric Technology (PMTC)... Stock was buried
>>after the company warned that sluggish
>> revenue growth would result in weaker than
>>anticipated Q3 and Q4 earnings... Company also
>> sounded a cautionary note for FY1999... Other
>>companies warn and don't see their stock
>> priced halved overnight... Why the bloodbath in PMTC?..
>>The street was irritated that PMTC's
>>management passed on an opportunity to guide
>>estimates lower a few weeks ago when the first
>>signs of trouble began to show... The street
>>expressed its anger and resentment by trashing the
>>stock... In so doing, the market created a
>>long-term undervalued situation... Asia's woes and
>>the company's sales/product transitions will
>>most likely keep the stock under wraps for the next
>>few months, but if you have the patience to
>>ride out the near-term volatility, PMTC offers
>>>exciting upside potential... PMTC is the 6th
>>largest US software company and it is the
>>established leader in its marketplace...
>>After Friday's drubbing the stock is also
>>trading at a relatively cheap 20.8x and
>>18.3x downwardly revised FY98 and FY99 earnings...
>>The p/e multiples are below the market, the
>>industry and the (revised) growth rate of 23%-25%... Our
>> 18-24 month price target is 28.

I am not sure the NT deal is a good news as the street
thought on Friday in the Canadian markets. I know the
division still has a hiring free own till they get their
cost under control. We both know LU said they would give
up margin to gain market share, but it looks like they
walked away from this deal. We know NEC has messed up
the margins because of their low bids in South America too.
I wonder what NT had to give up?

It looks like the first heavy week of earnings.
The volatility should be very high.

On the paper trade I am out of MTZ on Monday.
I'll have to explan what I am doing with that
when I get more time so people understand the context
of trade using the system I am playing with.

Have a good week. I am still trying to get back on
schedule for my project, so I will be try to
post when I can.

Harry

Hi Clint,

Very little activity on this thread so I decided to stir the pot a little. Is everyone shell shocked by the net stocks? How about CMVT - what's your price target? YHOO set to report Wednesday (I think?) - should we expect a sell on news there?

Later,
