I think now I should say what I was told by my "in the business" hi-tech nephew nearly a year ago about Y2k when I asked him about where one should invest regards y2k companies as it seems to be coming to pass --do you go with small companies with innovative software solutions but in no way full service or with do everything companies that handle the whole show.He said, say you are in charge of this decision
at your company, and he said,in the vast majority of cases those persons will be thinking about their job security after the year 2000.
If they go with the small company with the innovative software solution and it fails on the year 2000,they take the blame for going
for this innovative but much cheaper solution, and they are axed--but if they turn the whole show over to the more expensive full service,do
everything outfit, and there is a failure on year 2000,he says I got the best available, the blame is on them--and he keeps his job.
So here you have SEEC with 37 employees up against the likes of
KEA(Keane) with 8,000 employees---what chance does SEEC have--is an employer going to risk his job by going with a small outfit like this
when if it failed it is his head that is on the block----that is
how I see it,and this is an in my opinion only hot air post--but I personally wouldn't invest in SEEC--and that is in NO WAY a criticism of SEEC
but only my perceptions of the hard realities of the marketplace.Max90
