The trouble with your thinking is most of our stocks are held in the brokerage's name. bb

Taki, how can a Market maker look into my account, when The company itself can't even see who owns shares. All of my certs are held by the broker I deal through in the broker's name.(Greenline investor services). As for the sell 15 grand, watch em drop, rebuy 30 grand... I do it all the time, I had no idea the fear I was instilling in the Market Makers. Then again, as ISOMAN, I sometimes forget the power I have.

<<<<< When the MM gets the order that you want to sell, he goes in to your account and see how many shares you have. <<<<< Really? Most of the time I can't even get into my Waterhouse account. And I know my password. Maybe if I am not careful, they will simply insert the appropriate sell orders. Imagine a managed account for no additional charge. What a deal. A good imagination is sexy.
