Great posts, Jeff. I never bought, and unfortunately, never shorted either. To me a tip off was their name. What business would name themselves Milestone Scientific? If anything along those lines it would be Milestones Scientific. No long-run company can reach one milestone and say we've made it. Not even Pixar!

They also screwed up their stock symbol choice at the Amex (a symbol not inactive for 12 months so data services give faulty).

So a company that starts as U S OPPORTUNITY SEARCH INC, and gets funded as a Blank Check (files with the SEC as SIC Blank Checks 6770) by GKN, turns out to have nothing beyond the initial spurt? Not a surprise.

But I do note that Mr. Gintel has made more in CKFR than he lost in MS. Perhaps he had some esoteric portfolio balancing technique where the characteristics of MS were offset by CKFR and other positions. Or, he just was wrong. Eventually, I'd like to hear his comments.
