Len:

Hi, I'm a lurker on this thread, but have followed the posts here (as well as NEWZ itself) on a regular basis.

I, like you, am surprised by NEWZ's recent performance. Relative to the other Internet stocks, this one should be chugging along, yet the stock is languishing. Unlike many of the other "Internets," NEWZ is a proven money maker, and is trading at level far lower (relative to earnings) than most of the others. Why, I don't know...

My advice, however, would be for those interested in the stock to watch it carefully this week, for a number of reasons.

1) NEWZ had some positive press late last week. As many traders were on vacation, we may see a delayed response this week. Watch the volume; if NEWZ trades 100k shares, and is up, in the first hour of trading this is a very positive sign of a possible rally.

2) Investors in so-called first-tier Internet stocks may be looking to catch a wave on some of the lower-tiered, up and coming players (ie, NEWZ).

3) From a technical standpoint, a strong close above $10 is a positive indicator, and we aren't that far away from $10.

Again, relative to the other Internet stocks, NEWZ is a tremendous buy right now. Question is, will investors come to realize this...

regards,

JS

I am trying SI for a month -- but have been lurking, listening (in a figurative sense) to you, Maria, and Ashley, on the INDV/NEWZ stock. I still haven't figured out why this company hasn't taken off like a rocket with the other Internet stocks. Of course, I haven't figured out my other favorite, SEEK, either. Any idea when there is going to be movement, and why?
