Hello all,

I have no position in Activision, but used to be an incredibly avid video game player. I buy few games now for the Playstation I own as I try to purchase only the best. I currently own Twisted Metal 2 and have recently purchased Vigilante 8. I thought I'd give you my BRIEF review in case anyone cared. If not, please skip.

I'd like to preface by saying that I absolutely LOVE Twisted Metal 2. That being said, I don't think V8 is quite as good. It has the graphics edge over Twisted Metal 2. It also has a lot more secret codes and things which many younger gamers like. There are two reasons I don't like it as much. The first is that the variety of different codes for weapons make the playability not as fun. You can't just jump in there and play, you've got to have some kind of card next to you with all of the secret weapon codes written down next to it. Secondly, the 2-player cooperative mode isn't on par with the one in T2. In T2, you get to play cooperative through multiple stages and levels as you try to beat the game. In V8, the cooperative only lets you play one level against a certain amount of enemies. Not quite as fun.

All in all, I still think it will sell well. The young kids will like all the variety of secret codes. The graphics also attract them. The avid games like me have bought all the hype about it being better than T2 and have already purchased it. I was looking for it last week at babbages and it was sold out, although I did find it at Best Buy.

If anyone cares and has questions, please respond to the message and I'll catch it in my inbox. Otherwise, I hope all your investments shine brightly.

Grant

BTW, I'm not a young teenager. Just graduated college which might affect your opinion of my review one way or the other.
