Steady on Limtex! Opening in the natural home? No! Now we know not to believe every or any little flicker of photons on our monitors - they can come from anywhere and we must always remember that the Web is representational of reality, not the actual deal itself.

Unfortunately, we have to transact and act using these intangibles so veracity is all-important. CNN made up the sarin attack on USA Vietname deserters, which Time got suckered by. Time also got suckered by some male child prostitute rort in Russia some years ago - which to me looked like a scam just from the Cover Story major report beause some things in life just don't make sense in the course of human behaviour. I'm sure you all know not to believe your own or other governments, who are answerable to nobody really, run monopolies and are less than enthusiastic about truth and often indifferent to reality even as people are being ground up by it.

You know what? We can get Web access to the real McCoy, compliments of particular individuals we can trust, who will be able to provide real-time on-site information at source via cdma2000 and Anita [TM]. You want to know what's up with the food riot at the Jasmine restaurant in San Diego? Ask Ramsey Su who will tell the truth for only $100 and 3D video it direct to you, unfiltered by CNN, Time, or the State Department. You'll be able to wear 3D glasses, 2D version now available for $1200 or so and be as good as there, without the risk of being perforated by bullets. [That's why Ramsey gets the $100 cyberEudoraed to his account in Bermuda].

The market for that will be huge, even excluding Korea which everyone seems to think has vanished along with the rest of Asia, though with 10 million mobile subscribers even Korea is still in business and since they aren't travelling overseas, they'll be buying even more handsets.

Limtex, The Mighty Q Natural Home is like where you grew up - it no longer exists, useful only for nostalgia trips. Dougjn, up a little more today - did you get in or going to wait a bit more? Hehehehehe!! What's your buy price Dj?

As for QC, for all the hand-wringing that we do about the stock performance, the reality is that the company will probably earn $1.65 to $1.70 for FY98 ..... Had Korea not "blown-up", I think QC would have earned $2.45-$2.65 this year, .....Looking forward though, I think we have substantial cause for optimism. FY98's two weak quarters are history, and the September quarter should exceed $0.50/shr. Brian Modoff is looking for $2.80 in FY99 (September 1999) and I think $3.20+ is doable

Remember the 1987 crash in the USA - you can hardly find it on a 30 year Dow chart. Same for Qualcomm in 1997 - you will barely find the problems in Korea and Asia on the 20 year Qualcomm chart. $3 in 1999 is not a bad profit and cdmaOne is still only half out of the stable. Ericsson was trying to shut the stable door, but a bit late - now trying to put a bridle on it instead and climb aboard!
