Dear Brees and others: Posts continue to reflect clear constructive thinking. Gary and others are thankfully still hard at work, thanks "from the broom closet" Brees, your Post #1947 to Binder = a logical business outlook: "The race is on for this type of product and I'm sure every engineer has their solution in the lab ready for some one to look at. So, if the DF-144 stuff doesn't come back to the table right away. I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it." My prayer continues to be that DF-144 is real and will come back to Midland. However, one does not limit God choices in how to care for us day to day and in the final results. My main personality characteristic is that of a dreamer...from childhood. I like farming because it supports my propensity to dream. My training has been and continues avocationaly in Electrical Engineering (industrial plant power distribution) and avocational in law (coming from a family of lawyers) So, the latter occasionally gives an uncomfortable wake-up call to the former. Probably many of us have also pictured, in our mind, efforts to duplicate/produce a DF-144 -like product. A valid product of this nature is sorely needed to reduce serious health problems of MTBE (http://www.oxybusters.com/mtbe.htm). Briefly, in my opinion the process to produce an end product equal or better than DF-144 would have to be "SUBSTANTIALLY DIFFERENT" from DF-144 to overcome any DF-144 "FIRST IN TIME" patent rights. AND PATENT INFRINGEMENT CLAIMS BY "DF-144". Therefore there may be a degree of hope for DF-144. We are indeed sitting on the sidelines at this time. As I have clearly said in the past, I do not preclude any DD additions to Midland. I await the overall picture which we see at the end of July but not so limited in time. What else can we do but wait AND PRAY. I did not intend to take time away from my outside farm work by writing, inasmuch as I learn more by keeping my mouth shut and ears open. Maybe I should attend 'POSTERS ANONYMOUS'? In person I would say little because others are more skilled in expressing thoughts. Best to all, Marshall W, WP No time for more clues: WP = Weed Puller. Some years I have a 1/8 acre vegetable garden....and am real good at growing weeds. I too miss Roy. To my knowledge, he was a Christian. So he is now singing with the Heavely Hosts with a smile on his face.
