#1. We have a post-holiday rally today like I said last week.

Not in COMS, though! Down again today, after a + 1/8 gap up!

#3. Differences in COMS/ASND recoveries ...

Having held ASND from $45 all the way down to $22, and then back up again, I have to agree with you on this one. While COMS definitely has the potential to return to trading ranges of yesterday, it just does not have the same "feel" as ASND did when it was down. ASND's CEO practically guaranteed numbers for several quarters out late last year I believe. After a quarter or two of doing just that, ASND has REALLY taken off. Also, the LU takeover has been a safety net for ASND.

COMS has neither of these (earnings confidence/guarantee or takeover safety net). So, it's gonna be a bit rougher road ahead for COMS than the ASND ride was.

Here's hoping COMS comes back sooner rather than later...

>>1. We have a post-holiday rally today like I said last week.<<

I hope this post-holiday rally isn't finished.

>>Briefing.com has more readers than SI. I don't care whether we proof Briefing is a sh_t or not on this board.....<<

First, I'm not being critical of your posting Briefing.com
statements. By all means, keep posting them and anything
else that circulates the investment spheres concerning COMS.

My point is to claim that Briefing.com opinion is not an accurate
perception of the true value of the stock. This helps
to explain why we haven't gone that far after a 1/2 decent
earnings report. If I didn't understand it, COMS going
down further and further wouldn't make sense. Opinions
like Briefing.com make it sound as if COMS is in not
much better or worse shape than before earnings. When
a lot of people have this opinion because they read
Briefing.com type opinions, then it's no wonder COMS will
have deficulty going up...even if it gets a wonderful
earnings report.

IMO, that's why Eric B. doesn't spend much time with the
ANALyst. They already have their mind made up, and only
see the negative.

When you say things like:
"I think 3Com needs to do more to convince the street other than just saying "new products are the key to the growth"."

My response is, what? The street already has its mind made up,
so there's nothing 3COM can say, because of this prevailing
negative opinions.

Briefing.com just helps me understand the prevailing sentiment
for COMS. But, I don't deny that it has an influence on
pushing the price down.

Also, about the flat sales. Eric B. has said this is a
summer time event (I'll go back later and reread his exact
words). He didn't say it was permanent. Also, since
expenses will be cut, earnings will still go up. So, I
still don't gather total negativity from it. I just
figure it has more hurdles to climb after having
completed the initial ones. This is cause for optimism,
guardedly at most...but not total pessimism.
