Big Bucks,

two events can drive AMAT below $20. Whether it hits $12 or not is another question.

Event #1 is a big bad warning from AMAT, far in excess of the expected bad news. With so little visibility, can we rule out this possibility?

Event #2 is the market. Not only has the market not taken into account potential bad news, it is reaching new highs. Is this real or is it a bubble being blown to its limits? If the bubble bursts, do you think AMAT will stay at current levels? We have beaten Asia to death. There is zero chance that Asia will not be in a recession for the forseeable future, depression in some cases. Even if Asia does not drag down the US, it certainly is going to offer no support for growth. All it takes is a few down days on the NASD, which is kind of rare recently, and we will see AMAT's true support - $26ish or lower?
