July 6, 1998 02:40 PM

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 6, 1998--Effective immediately Dominican Cigar Corp. DCGR has officially changed its name to DCGR International Holdings Inc. to more accurately reflect the diversity of its corporate structure. The trading symbol "DCGR" will remain the same.

Donald Platten, president of DCGR, stated that the name change was necessary to reflect the projected acquisitions of companies outside the cigar industry that will be announced as details become available.

Platten further stated, "The audited results give us the opportunity to become a fully reporting company with the SEC, and therefore we anticipate filings required by the end of this year, in order to meet the requirement for a small cap listing on NASDAQ."

DCGR is applying for Standard and Poor's and should be approved within 72 hours. Standard and Poor's CORPORATION RECORDS service is a "recognized securities manual" which may render potential benefits for "BLUE SKY" clearance purposes.
