IBM is making a lot of money fixing the year 2000 computer bug. In services and hardware upgrades. This is a 600 BILLION dollar market, that will last years after JAN 2000. A GREAT speculation in this market is a small company, Tpii. Check them out for huge capital gains.

Re. "Do you think that investment in IT technology alone is enough to keep our economy growing?". Consumer spending seems to be driving the US economy and continues to be strong. Companies are investing in IT to improve productivity. This trend is especially strong in the US, resulting in US companies being much more efficient than most non-US companies. This will keep our economy strong while driving non-US companies to invest in IT in order to compete. The SEA crisis is allowing US companies to buy assets at fire sale prices. This will increase their profitability and competitiveness. JMHO. Scott
