Alex, I do not recall (the senility of the denmothers) if we have ever exchanged posts before, but I must say that I get almost as much of a tingle in seeing your understanding of what I am blathering about as I do for penni's unbelievable insight into the core of all things.

If I state one of my essential convictions at this point, it will make the following comments more bearable. Conviction: We are a transient or intermediate species.

The War Gene: It seems so universal, so virtually unquestioned. We put money and resources into developing more efficient and sophisticated ways of killing ourselves. This, it seems, will be an election plank this fall - not 'arming' enough. To sit back and analyze this either admits the croc and preditor nature of ourselves, or screams of an eventual survival of, not the fittest, but the Right, the Blessed, the Competent Achievers. That sort of X. Sad.

Eugenics: I totally agree with the way you slice that pie. If we super-raced procreation into only the top-drawer, I feel we would be changing the players in the game, and not changing the game. A few arch-geniuses X-ing their asses of to survive would not cleanse the boards - would merely make the game more neurotic. And I believe that, take Terry as an example, being real bright doesn't actually get anyone much closer to the realization of the needs of our interdepencence. No, it is to limit our excessive humping that I think of as being at the base of non-discriminating 'eugenics.' As you say, our humping, I have written of this months ago, should have tempered the progress of semen from one outlet and a new member of the species out another several months later.

All of this placed in the context of being transitional is masturbation of a sort.

The great problem I have is with those of us who can recognize the dimensions of existence - to a degree - and who go into a survival tactic approach, like these idiots Dwight, Michael and Barrett - including, unfortunately, Terry.

I may communicate in a muddled fashion. I am sorry for that. I do believe that Crissy one time took great affront at my mentioning our identicality. But, god, I would be quite offended as a woman to be able to buy a bra that was constructed without ever consulting me! They have made assumptions about my boobers without having even seen them! Or a guy thinking of how a condom could be right for him when he has never let himself out for measurement of evaluation.

Petty. Silly. With Salt on the Side. Even if we can do space capsules, aren't we all - sort of?

(And the intensity of the current X on the God thread is humiliating. But, here we are. About a year before we got here, two folk got their jollies off. Then, out we popped. As if our prime function, on the gator line, was anything else than procreation. (Along these lines of yours with 'eugenic' pruning of our species' tree, I can do nothing but completely agree. Where, if anywhere, does our control, or even comprehension, of the situation come into play?)

Sorry for the barrel of X. I simply appreciated your posts too much, g
