Before I get started, please tell me which parts of the Bible you accept as true. I believe you accept Matthew

The Qur'an tells us that Christians have access to the truth within their own scriptures. It does not mention "the Bible" as such but about scriptures within the Bible. In Islam, we do not follow the present day Bible since we believe it to have been altered from the Originals. We believe that people called other books as God's words which were not God's words and placed them all into the same covers (i.e. today's present Bible).

So per say, we don't accept individual books or anything like that since we believe that many parts of the Bible have been tampered with (and we of course have evidence of tampering besides the contradictions). But for our discussions, I'm using the Bible as a source since all Christians believe it is God's words.

There is evidence that Jesus (Pbuh) taught much about his successor but that that successor was confused with the Holy Spirit. The verses where we talks about one "who will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak." The Qur'an tells us that Muhammad (Pbuh) is mentioned in the the Christian scriptures as being foretold.

I was discussing this matter with Steve but he wanted to jump to the divinity of Jesus (Pbuh) before I was able to present all the evidence.

If there is anything I have not made clear, I apologize. Please feel free to continue asking me so I can clear up any matters that may not be clear.
