Alan Hoffman, Value Line Investment(?) Management was just on CNBCs Taking Stock

DELL is his number one holding. Said that because of its high price, it is sometimes difficult to justify buying. "On a day when the market is sour and DELL drops 5 points, Jump on it!" Reports that his cost basis is now about $2+ per share.

I dumped all my deep in the money calls in both Yahoo & Amazon by the close today & re-bought near their closing trading prices. This strategy has served me well for the last 8 days and I suspect we still have 1 or 2 days of this before the momentum runs out. I'm guessing that Yahoo will start pulling back by Wednesday am & the other internet stocks will follow, including Amazon.

Once the internet frenzy plays itself out we can expect the momentum players to come flocking back to DELL. I believe we should start seeing some upward movement in DELL stock late this week or the beginning of next week. DELL's upcoming shareholder meeting will put the limelight back on the stock & should provide the necessary kick-start to get DELL stock moving towards the $120-$130 range, which is the top that I believe we will see this quarter if the stock splits. However, I could be low in my estimate.

In any event we shall see what the future brings. Best of luck.

<ggg> Sorry, I was just joking a little, but from what I have seen through out my investment life, speculation like the I-net stocks could be seen as an indication of Market topping out, so take my comment as a market specific one.
