I worry that it may have been a trap for the bulls. The market has never liked and has not yet forgiven Netscape. That is very evident today. Yes, YHOO, LCOS and others have sucked away the volume, but when they start back down, after YHOO's earnings (which even if they beat expectations will probably tank), NSCP may fall even faster. I'm long and I'm very worried. Much technical damage done today.

Why is there so much concern for a stock that has moved up ~$14 in the previous 2 days and then giving up just over $2 today? I expect Netscape to solidify numerous alliances in the next month. This should push the stock over $60.

I am staying long until someone can convince me that they are not going to be 1 of the top 4 portals on the internet within the year. I also believe that there is a good chance for them to be #1 by the end of 1999.

Anyway you look at it the stock is cheap. The major media companies will see it that way too. Buy what you can.
