Indeed, dumbmoney, curious that BASEA rebounded so hard on heavy volume and no news.

It's actually nearly shortable again.

I'm not sure that I would jump at shorting, though, since the holders of the discounted convertibles have not been converting, despite the registration for the common having been deemed effective months ago.

A primary reason for shorting stocks with discounted converts is the predictability of the selling, and it just hasn't happened in this case. The holders of the converts are just different somehow in this case.
