Tom:

IDC and QC signed a cross-license where IDC's IPR was available to QC royalty-free while QC's IPR was subject to royalties. So, if B-CDMA ever became anything, I would expect QC to receive some royalties from IDC. On the other hand, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to deploy a CDMA standard that was not compatible with the mobile CDMA standard (i.e. IS-95). Also, the problem with such a trial is that the scope and economic terms (i.e. who is paying for the thing) are unclear.

Best regards,

Gregg
