Yes, too bad I didn't buy in to hedge my now-covered software.net short :( Take a look at Image Entertainment, NASDAQ:DISK. It has been moving higher on progressively higher volume. It too has announced internet direct sales coupled with a fully-automated distribution warehouse in Las Vegas to be opened this September. [I'm surprised I don't hear about these kind of systems being used for the pure internet etailers like EGGS or AMZN.] I don't think too many people know about it. They had been losing money because laserdisc sales are dropping, but now they will handle all laserdisc sales through direct internet (no more will they be at mercy of retailers shelf space) and they are already in the top 10 DVD distributors (including all the major studios). It will be interesting to see what EGGS does tommorrow.
